Gotu kola is an Indian herb that has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. It also used as a brain food with therapeutic focus on improving memory, stimulant and to promote longevity.
Gotu kola is typically eaten raw in salads, steamed and served with rice or made into a tea.

In animal studies, gotu kola extracts have been shown to increase the production of hydroxyproline and collagen, the structural components needed for wound healing, by 50-60 percent.
